Useful apps

Hi
Today I plan to write many things but I was too busy with work that it slipped ny mind. So instead, I'll write about the apps i use and find very useful when checking and booking airplane tickets and checking for hotels.

The app I use most frequent is Flights (google flights). It works the same as Kayak and other 3rd party agent. However I like how simple it is compare to other apps. You can also favorite your search so you can come back to it next time you open the app for price check. The app also allows you to change the currency to your home currency, and of course they have the filter and sort options as well.

The next app I want to write about is the airbnb. I have used AirBnb to book a place to stay for my friends and myself when I travel to a place where I stay longer than couple days. Airbnb is basically a community marketplace where guests can book spaces from hosts, connecting people who have space to spare with those who are looking for a place to stay. Through their experiences on Airbnb, guests and hosts build real connections with real people from all over the globe. I find Air Bnb is very useful when I travel to Hong Kong because the hotels there is ridiculously pricey. This time I'll be going to Hong Kong for 2 weeks with my friend and we are so not going to pay 200 to 300 a night. Hostel would be a good way as well, however the rooms in Hong Kong is very small. I did not have a good experience with Hostels in Hong Kong. I'm going to give Airbnb a chance. I've seen prices range from $60 USD to $120 USD, depends on which location you are interested staying and how big the house/room you're looking for.

Other apps are excellent as well. Take your time to explore the variety of free apps out there. Remember to prepare before you travel!

Next segment of this blog I will write about packing. I love packing but I hate unpacking. grrr

Well, until then.

Am I ready?

Today at work my coworker asked me a question that I don't think when I can really ready to answer. She asked "how did your parents passed away?". If someone asked me where my parents are, my normal answers were either they r resting in Vietnam, give or take whatever they think because it is somewhat the truth. Or I would tell them the official truth that they passed away with a bit of smile on my face so they know that I am ok and hopefully they don't ask anymore question about the death of my parents. It has been 8 years, 1 month and 23 days since my mom left and 8 years and 22 days since daddy left my brother and I. I figure it is long enough to talk about it and not get super emotional about it. I answered my coworker her question with a bit of detail. The first 15 mins into the convo I was going strong. Then when it comes to how I feel about their death, I can feel my voice started shaking and emotions from sad, anger, regrets and everything else rushed through all at once. I couldn't answer her. I am now sitting in this cold room (literally) thinking to myself :am I ready to talk about my feeling? I know I had been bidding it for years. I know I am physically ready but am I mentally ready? The fact that I'm still counting the days since they passed away, i dont think im ready yet, at least not right now. Then again When will I be? Is it because of the guilt or the blame that is stopping me?

I'M BACK!

Sorry I've been MIA. I have been super busy since I get back from my Asia Trip. I promised so many things to do before the trip. So sorry!

Here is a video of what my boyfriend and I did in Hawaii (Just the water activities).

We did a lot of things in such a short time in Hawaii.  We were there for only 3 days and half then head to our Asia Trip.  The reason we went to Hawaii was for my boyfriend's cousin's wedding.  Also it was a pleasant stop before heading out.

I will do more briefly day by day on my vacation. Come back for more. :D

Until then,

First stop: Hawaii

The day is here! The first stop of our first Asia Tour starts from San Diego Airport to Hawaii for a wedding. I can't wait to get out of here! I will update more when I get a chance to upload Hawaii pictures. Today, December 18, 2011 is actually my last day in Hawaii. I am exhausted with all the previous activities and last couple activities planned for today. I have to say I love Hawaii and I'm getting to miss it already, even though I am still here. It is a great place to get away from the cold from the mainland.

It is only 7 AM here in Hawaii. I think I should head out for some local food and drinks.
I promise to post up pictures as soon as I have time. :D

<3 Until then.

I'm Free!

I finally finished with my last final for this semester. It has been a busy semester for me.  But now it is time for me to Pack, Pack and PACK! I'm so excited for our first Asia Trip. This will be the first time my boyfriend and I are going out of the country together. I'm still waiting for the Milani Cosmetics orders to arrive so I can do a Black Friday and Cyber Monday haul on my blog. They take forever to ship it out! I hope it arrives before I head out on December 15.

As for my trip, I just booked the  hotels and finish with everything that were needed for this trip. I just need to wash my clothes, pack and get on the airplane. :D YAY*

I will also be doing a "what to bring with you when travel" blog soon. If you want to see what I pack for my trip, please stay tuned and as always, Until Then! :)
